1. General
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Chessmoon.com ("Chess Moon", "Site", "we"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Accounts and Registration
- Part of the services can be used without registration (as a guest); rated games, lessons, tournaments and some advanced features require an account.
- You are responsible for providing accurate and current information at registration and for keeping your account (username, password and linked e-mail) secure.
- If you are under 18, you may register only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian; registrations under the age of 13 are not permitted.
- Accounts opened on behalf of someone else, multiple accounts used to manipulate ratings, tournaments or prizes, and accounts not corresponding to a real person are prohibited.
3. Acceptable Use
- Using chess engines, computer programs or any automated assistance during live and rated games is prohibited.
- Insults, abusive language, threats, harassment or hate speech towards other users are prohibited.
- Sexual content, illegal material, impersonation and unsolicited bulk messaging (spam) are prohibited.
- Exploiting security flaws, disrupting the service or attempting unauthorized access are prohibited.
- Violations may lead to restricted, suspended or closed accounts; earned ratings and prizes may be revoked.
4. Rated Games, Ratings and Tournaments
Rated games, ratings, teams and tournaments are calculated automatically based on results, participant performance and system rules. These systems do not guarantee a particular outcome for an individual game or tournament. We make reasonable efforts to fix technical problems; no compensation may be claimed for temporary outages or system-related data errors.
5. Premium (Platinum) Membership
Premium ("Platinum") membership is an optional, paid service. Fees and durations are stated during purchase and on the premium page. Membership becomes active after the payment (PayPal, bank transfer, etc.) is approved by an administrator. Refund conditions are subject to the guarantee announced on the premium page; no refund is given if membership is revoked for misuse.
6. User Content
You retain the rights to the content you share on the Site (profile details, wall posts, comments, messages, photos/videos and games). By sharing content you grant the Site a worldwide, non-sublicensable license limited to providing the service. You may not share content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights or violates these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
The Site interface, software, logos and Site-owned content are protected by copyright. They may not be copied, distributed, modified or used commercially without prior written permission.
8. Personal Data
The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Site is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages, loss of profits or loss of data.
10. Service Interruption and Termination
We may temporarily suspend the service, in whole or in part, for maintenance, updates, security or legal reasons. We may suspend or permanently close your account in case of violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time.
11. Changes
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Updates are published on this page and important changes are announced on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkiye. In case of disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Turkiye have jurisdiction.
